Change Happens Fast!

Yesterday was not my favorite day.

I barely woke. Got poked for a blood draw. Had to be woken again. Ate. Took Morphine. Had a stitch added to the top of my head at the EVD site. Went to therapy. Vomited. Bathed. Went back to bed. That was all before lunch.

Then it got better.

Ms. Liz, my teacher visited me. My cousins, aunt and uncle visited AND I got this REALLY cool backpack FULL of goodies from a place called Bags O Fun. In the bag are some really amazing things!  But what I really liked… what really woke me up… was playing with this:

I continued to be lethargic though through the evening and finally went to bed. And it all turned around….

1:30 am this morning:

MOM!”  (I was sitting up on the edge of the bed with my feet towards the ground).

WHAT are you DOING Jackson”…(HA! That got her to her feet).

Later, I woke for good, had an amazing breakfast… SITTING UP IN MY WHEELCHAIR. Then rested before Mom and Dad took me outside for some sun and a change of scenery. Boy, it was really smoky outside from all the fires, but it was still nice to feel the sun and sit and watch cars in the shade.

Then it was on to lunch, Scooby Doo, more resting and spending the evening with Mom and Dad and Nana and Poppy. I missed O and B… they were out playing with some friends. I wish I could have seen them, but I’m glad they had some fun!

I can’t wait to see what therapy tomorrow brings!

Jackson!!! Your left eye is opened… that must mean the swelling is going down!! Your lighted spinny-thing looks like a lot of fun. I’m so glad you got to go outside and enjoy the sun and the cars, even if the air was smoky. I’m thinking each time you go out the air will be clearer and easier to breath. Day by day the sky will get easier to see. Blue skies ahead for you handsome boy. You are one tough cookie!

    Jackson,

I am a friend of your Nana’s from Atlanta. I have been praying for you sweetie. I am so happy to hear that you are getting better. You are such an inspiration to all. I will continue to visit this site to check-up on your progress. Remember that Jesus loves you and has his arms around you every second of the day. Keep that beautiful smile as it makes others smile!!!

    With love,
    Mitze
